What is the difference between base plan and Super top up plan in Health Protect?

1Answer

Super top up policy provides additional coverage over and above your existing base policy. It is cost-effective owing to the fact that it kicks in once your medical bills cross the coverage limit of your base policy.
Example:
You own a Base policy of ₹3 lac and a super top-up of ₹20 lac with a deductible of ₹3 lac.
If you get hospitalized and the bill comes up as ₹4 lac. The insurer will pay 3 lac from your base policy and then the remaining 1 lac will come from your super top-up policy.
Health Protect offers super top-up of 7lac, 10lac, 20lac, 30lac, 50lac with a deductible of 3/5 lac. Check the premium here.
