The daily allowance/hospital cash benefit offers a fixed amount for each day that you are hospitalized. The amount paid is fixed at the time of taking the policy and would remain fixed.
Although your health insurance covers you for most medical expenses, certain out of pocket expenses like travel and food can be taken care of via the daily cash allowance.
