A type of fund that has its units listed on stock exchanges. Unlike open-end mutual funds, closed-end funds do not issue and redeem units on a continuous basis but only at the time of their new fund offer or NFO. Their listed price is determined by supply and demand. They also carry a NAV besides the traded price.
